Dark Shadows (2012) is a Tim Burton-directed gothic horror-comedy starring Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins, a 18th-century playboy turned vampire by a witch (Eva Green) who buries him alive. Freed in 1972, he finds his estate in ruins and his dysfunctional descendants needing his help to restore the family, all while navigating the modern world.
