The story follows a desperate civilian couple who venture into a deadly, Russian-occupied "gray zone" to rescue their kidnapped daughter. After their car is shelled by enemy forces, Ukrainian special forces use reconnaissance drones to track and rescue them. The high-tech rescue mission draws global attention via a livestream by an American journalist who gets caught in the crossfire and faces a life-or-death decision.
